Gene RoyerGene Royer

Author of School Board Leadership 2000:
The Things Staff Didn't Tell You at Orientation

Gene Royer is a Policy Governance writer and consultant and his clients are public and nonprofit boards and their executives. His client list includes advocacy groups, church boards, human service organizations and trade associations. His international practice has taken him to Canada for engagements with nonprofit and public boards in Toronto and Windsor, Ontario. He has three adult children and seven grandchildren - all girls. Gene lives in Houston,Texas, with his wife Pat.

That is the official version. Now for the real poop: Gene Royer is an extraordinarily gifted writer and one hell of a human being. His biting wit and dry humor translate marvelously well to the printed page in a remarkable variety of forms. Gene is devout, generous, and filled with a compassion for living things (most humans included) that is a wonder to behold. For a sample of Gene's writing, read THE STAND IN on Mr. Dale Beasley's website at: http://web3.foxinternet.net/dbeasley
